Sally Varma was born on 28 December 1984 in Mangalore, India. She studied at Nirmalamatha Central School, Thrissur, and graduated in Functional English and Journalism. She has worked on several Malayalam movies like A Sunday and Oru Njayarazhcha.
She works with the Humane Society International, India, and spreading mindfulness among the public and government representatives on animal welfare. In 2016, Sally was honored as one of the 100 women achievers in India in the order of Animal Welfare by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, and in 2019, she was named as one of the 50 influential people in Kerala by the Kerala Insider portal.
