Majiziya Bhanu is a Malayalam bodybuilder and powerlifter from Kerala, India. She started her training in powerlifting after she started her boxing classes while studying in college. Doing hard work in powerlifting, she competed in Kozhikode District Powerlifting Championship in July 2016. Bhanu is also a dental surgeon and completed her degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery from Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences. She was named Strongest Women of Kerala by the Kerala State Powerlifting Association in 2018. Bhanu is the first competitor to wear a Hijab at Mr. Kerala Championship which was held on 25th February 2018, which she won.
It was her first bodybuilding competition in the women’s division. In 2018, she represented India at World Arm-wrestling Championship, which was held in Turkey. She won many awards in National and International competitions across the globe. In May 2017, she won an ola medal in Asian Powerlifting Championship held in Indonesia, in the same year she won another ola medal in Asian Classic Powerlifting Championship at Alappuzha, Kerala. Some of her national winnings include 8+ gold medals across the country at various competitions like National Unequipped Powerlifting Championship, National Arm Lifting Championship, All Kerala Interclub Powerlifting Championship, and many others.
