Passionate about his work, Samuel Mathai excels in other related fields like audio recording, mixing, and mastering. However, his talents are many since he is also a singer, songwriter, and keyboardist. Born on July 15, 1978, Mathai schooled at St. Mary’s Poovanpara and Marthoma High School, Pathanamthitta. Later, he pursued a bachelor’s in commerce at the Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta.
Mathai also learned Carnatic music at Cochin Kalabhavan. The versatile sound engineer learnt multimedia at Arena Animation and pursued carnatic music at Swathi Thirunal College of Music. Later, he enrolled at Riyan Institute of Film and Television, Kochi to become a sound engineer.
In 2005, Mathai joined Santa Cecilia Studios, Kochi as a sound engineer. He also served in the same capacity at Athmeeya Yatra Television, Thiruvalla, in 2015. He has scored the music of ‘Jeevanil Nee Vaikathe Vayo,’ a Christian Devotional song.
Mathai is skilled in audio recording, engineering, editing, and mixing. He also has expertise in music composition, sound design, sound effects, and audio mastering. In 2007, he married Tissa Sam, an educator, and has a child.
