CR Chandran is a sound designer working in the Malayalam entertainment industry. He was born and brought up in Trivandrum. He did his BSc at the University College, Thiruvananthapuram. Chandran is married and has a son and a daughter. His wife is a beautician.
Chandran worked as the chief sound engineer at Amrita TV. Chandran is the winner of a National Award and eight State Awards for his sound design in feature films and TV Programs. He was the State Award Jury Member for Malayalam films in 2011. Chandran worked in 70+ films as a sound recordist. He was a sound recordist for over 1000 TV shows, including serials.
