Rahool Syam is a famous sound engineer who works in the Malayalam film industry. He completed his schooling at St Mary Pattom (Kerala), then studied English literature at Indra Gandhi National Open University and further did a BA in Recording Arts and Digital Filmmaking at SAE Chennai. He started his career through freelancing. He did various projects as a sound recordist and sound editor. In 2013, he began working in films, web series, and documentaries and as a boom operator in which he took care of the microphone placements during shootings. He has also worked as a Production sound mixer, Sound FX Editor, and sound designer.
