Binil C Amakkadu

Binil C Amakkadu is a sound engineer working in the Malayalam film industry. He completed his UG in Physics and PG in Communication and Media Studies from St. Berchmans' College. He completed his master’s in Sound Design and Recording from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute of Government of India. Bini started his career as a program producer at Media Village. Later, he worked in SKD Studio in Kolkata as a sound designer. He also worked as the sound designer at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. Binil worked as a supervising sound editor and sound and dialogue editor at Auralmayhem Post Sound.

Since 2014, he has been working as a freelance sound designer. Since 2015, he has been working as the Head of Audio Department at St. Joseph College of Communication: Media Village in Kurisummoodu, Kottayam. He is an assistant professor of media studies. Besides being a sound designer and professor, he also visits colleges and gives guest lectures to students. In 2024, the Kerala government’s Department of Public Education, Kottayam Education District, collaborated with St. Joseph College of Communication and arranged a field trip. In this event, Binil conducted a class, The Sequential Stages of Film Making, for the students.
