Sreeranjini Kodampally

Sreeranjini Kodamapally is from Kerala, India. She has played hundreds of Classical concerts. She is also an actress in the film industry. She currently works as an assistant professor of music at the Maharajas Ernakulam College of Music. She is the daughter of Kodamapally Appukuttan Pillai, a retired teacher and Smt. Ambika Devi, both musicians. Her grandfather, Kodampally Gopala Pillai, was an artist who was part of the Tanjore Tradition of Carnatic. Kodamapally completed BA, MA, and MPhil in music with first place. In 2014 she did a Ph.D. in music under the direction of BM Jayashree of the University of Bangalore.

Along with her career as a Carnatic artist, Kodamapally entered the film music industry with a song called Madhava Maasamo from Swapaanam film by director Shaji N Karun, music director by Sreevalsan J Menon. Kodamapally's audio album NIDRA - Sleeping Music, released by Satyam audios has received lots of love. Her brother Kodampally Gopakumar is a violinist from Kerala. In 2009 She won the Kerala State Government Chembai award for young artists. Sreeranjini is also the recipient of the Mavelikara Prabhavarama puraskaram for the most talented young artist of 2017. In 2014, Kodamapally settled in Trivandrum with her husband Pradeep S Nair.

The album titled, Nidra- Good Sleep Music is a Carnatic music album that aims to provide psychological comfort to the listeners in this turbulent period of the situation. The main artist behind the album is Carnatic music champion Sreeranjini Kodampally. She hails from a traditional music family and has won numerous music awards. She has hosted hundreds of concerts in various parts of the country. She enjoys his life as an artist. She was born into music, grew up in music, lived in music, and aspired to sing until her breath lasts.

She got her inspiration from her grandfather, Kodampally Appukuttan Pillai, her father, Appukuttan Pillai, SmrNeela Ramgopal, Smt TH Lalitha, Smt Palkulangara Ambika Devi, and Sri Ashtaman Pillai. She is an A-Grade artist at All India Radio, is the first to hold a position in both BA and MA Music under Calicut University, and completed his MPhil in Music at the University of Kerala with an A degree. In music under the University of Bangalore, Sreeranjini has released a special music album called Nidra, under Satyam Audios. She has also sung in many recordings including filming. Sreeranjini has presented many music concerts on many prestigious Sabas and many TV channels.
