He is born in Nellikode, Kerala, India. He completed his studies from the University of Calicut. He is a screenplay writer and director in Mollywood Industry. He is a creative writer, lyricist,director, and producer in Malayalam movies. He directed and produced in about 10 movies.
He did his debut in the movie Thalirukal in the year 1965. He worked over scripts and direction for about 50 movies. He worked in the year span between 1965-2000. The great film director Satyan Anthikad started his career of directing under his guidance and became his assistant to gain experience. He invested his skills to build his career and worked on many movies.
