Tom George Kolath has donned not only the roles of director, actor, and producer in Mollywood, but also tried his luck in script writing. He is popularly known as Tom George in cinema. He came into limelight for his performance in Anna television serial. It was inspired by Tolstoy's Anna Karenina.The serial Anna was the child of cinematographer Alagappan. In 2004, George’s film Akale won him the National Film Award and also the Kerela State Film Awards for the best feature film in Malayalam.

His other notable works include Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum, Black, Finger Print, Out of Syllabus, Gandhi Park, Lessons, Summer in America¸ Casualty and some more as a producer, director or actor. The commercials he did include Coral Group, Keltron USA, etc.
