Geetu Mohandas is an Indian Filmmaker cum Actress who is now familiar for her Hindi film such as Liars Dice, which the made an official entry to the Oscars. Geetu born as Gayathri Haridas in Kannur district of Kerala in 1981.Geetu is married to cinematographer and both had a girl child Aradhana. She started her acting career at the age of 5 in the movie En Bommukutty Ammavukku in Tamil. In the film Onnu Muthal Poojayam Vare, she acted as a child artist with Mohanlal in the lead role. The film was directed by Ragunath Paleri. Her performance as a child artist was remarkable. She got Kerala state film award for best child artist for her performance in the movie Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare .Later she did many roles in Malayalam and Tamil movies.

She was then busy with her studies in Canada and in 2000 she made her come back through the movie Life is beautiful again co paired with her lucky hero Mohanlal. She then had a handful of films. In 2004, she got the Kerala state film award for the best actress for the movie Akalae co paired with Prithviraj and Sheila. She also won Filmfare award for the same movie Akale.

She started her directorial venture in the Malayalam movie Kelkkunundo and received the Golden Lamp tree award and best short fiction award. in 2013 she directed a Hindi road drama movie Liars dice with and in the lead role. The film was written and directed by Geetu herself. The film got 2 National awards for best Actress and best Cinematography. Cinematographer in the movie was Geetu’s husband Rajeev Ravi. Liars Dice was the official entry for 87th Academy awards in foreign language section.
