Meena Kumari Perera

The Indian Film industry is an epicenter of attraction, that has grabbed the attention of many individuals from different cities, towns, and countries. Meena Kumari Perera is also one of those individuals, who hailed from a distinct country to attempt her endeavours in the Indian Film Industry. She is a Sri-Lankan in origin. Before entering the field of acting, Meena has dedicated a few years of her life to the military service. She was a part of Srilankan Airforce.

After that, she has also worked in the private sector. She displayed her acting skills in the Malayalam Film Industry. She has done serials and movies. Some of her works are Asani Warsha, Ginni kirilli, Kanyavi, in the year 2005, 2004, 2009 respectively. Meena began her career in dramatic skills as a teledrama actress. She is a prominent personality in Sri Lanka. She has done a Malayalam film named Kutty Srank, in the year 2008. It was an award-winning film with Shaji N Karun as the director. Meena got applauded for her work in the movie. She played the challenging character of a mute person. She acted opposite to an eminent star Mammootty. Her perfect balance of the facial expressions and the ideal timings made her gain more appreciation.

Meena has got honored with Sarasaviya Awards for the film Asani Warsha, 2006. Meena tied her knot with a teledrama crew member Ranga Bandaranayaka. They have a daughter.
