M S Banesh

MS Banesh is a Poet, Documentary Film Maker, and a TV Journalist. He completed his Post Graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kerala Press Academy, Cochin. His hobby is Reading Poems, Fiction, and Articles on Social interests. And he enjoys watching documentary films and feature films.

He loves to travel alone. He has Six-time won the State Television Award for Documentary film direction. He has also done M.A. Malayalam, Language & Literature from Maharajas College, Ernakulam. He has worked as a Program Head in Reporter TV, Kerala.

From 2000 to 2009, he worked as Chief News Producer with Kairali. And from 1997 to 2000, he worked as Sub Editor with Kalakaumudi Weekly, Trivandrum. He acted in the Short Film THOOVAL, Directed By Abdul Salam In 2012, and an Ad film On Shankar’s Eye Hospital produced by Davenport Vision.

The Script of his documentary with the same title, black Flaming Faces was Published by Fabian Books, Alleppy in 2006, Buddhijeevikalude Mounam, and Kalapathinte Utharangal - Collection of Interviews with MN Vijayan Published by Fabian Books, Alleppy. The place of his birth is Kodungallur in Thrissur District in Kerala. His compilation of poems is Nenjum Virichu Thala Kunikkunnu, Kathu Shikshikkane, and Nallayinam Pulaya Acharukal.

He employed as a News Editor & Head of the department of Current Affairs in Jeevan TV. He was senior program producer in Kairali-People TV and Kalakaumudhi Weekly. He has done his schooling in native place at Govt Boys High School.

Currently, he lives in Cochin. He is now working as Programme Head in Reporter TV, Cochin. Rajan Kottappuram Memorial Poetry Award MS Baneesh also received the poetic prize in honor of Baneesh Kodungalloor-based poet and poet Rajan Kottappuram.
