Thulasidas is a movie director who works in the South Indian film industry. He completed his education from Venjaramoodu High School and Attingal Sree Narayana College. He began his film career as an assistant director and associate director to P.K. Joseph. He started working as an independent director in 1989 and made debut with Onninu Purakea Mattonnu starring Thalakan, Nedumudi, and Rohini.
Throughout his career, he contributed various box office hits to the Malayalam film industry, such as Ezhara Ponnana (1992), Sooryaputharan(1998), Kasargod Khader Bhai(1992), Doshth(2001), College Kumaran(2008) and many more. He directed the world’s first-ever film without men, Girls/Thiraikku Varadha Kathai, a bilingual horror thriller movie for which he was awarded the ICL award for best director 2017.
He has directed over 25 films and TV serials. He was awardedShudhaMadhalam Cinema Sharja International Award (1993) and Kukkumacheppu-AbudabiSamajam Award (1994).
