Jayaraj Vijayan

Jayaraj Vijayan is a film director and screenwriter based in Kerala. He predominantly works in the Mollywood film industry, predominantly in Malayalam films. He was born in Udayamperoor, Ernakulam, Kerala, and started his career as a scriptwriter for a film called Priyam Priyankaram in which he also worked as an assistant director. However, this film couldn’t be released for some reason. After that, he worked as a writer in a super hit TV series called Detective Anand. Besides, he also wrote scripts for various other series, including Kaanakkinavu, Kanyadhaanam, Oppol, and Indraneelam, which aired on Surya TV.

Jayaraj made his directorial debut in the Malayalam film industry with a film called Shudharil Shudhan, which was released in 2009. The story was about an estate worker named Ramankutty who was forced to lead a strike against the estate management, which leaves his family to suffer from hunger and starvation. The film turned out as a major blockbuster in the Mollywood industry. Thereafter, Jayaraj worked in various other films, such as Money Back Policy and Vishwasam... Athallae Ellaam and Avaril Oraal. He has also worked in other TV series for various channels, including Nirmalyam (Asianet), Mounanombaram, (Kairali TV), Indira in Mazhavil Manorama, and Sasneham (Amrita TV). Moreover, Jayaraj has also directed various commercials and advertisements before making his as a film director.
