Babu Kambrath is a film director and producer. He is also a huge environmentalist and has mentioned in his several interviews about his love for the environment. In one of his interviews, he mentioned that nature alone does not mean forests but it is the environment we reside in. Kambrath has directed a short film named, Mother Bird, which revolves around the lives of the migratory birds all over the world who come and roost in the coconut groves. The documentary explores the love of this old for the birds, the significance of rural environment and how a rural place with no luxury facilities tend to this bird’s needs. He is a National Award winner for Best Films on Social Issues. He won this award for his movie Behind the Mist in the year 2012.
