Jayashankar

A Jayashankar is a famous Indian lawyer, Tv anchor, social critic, political analyst, and a renowned journalist from South India. He was born on 21 September 1962 in Kerala to Paamadath Vasudevan Pillai and Kalarikkal Saudamini. Jayashankar completed his schooling at Mar Athanasius High School and joined Union Christian College, Aluva, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, for further studies. He later went to Government Law College, Ernakulam, Kochi, to pursue post-graduation in law. A. Jayashankar started practising law in 1989 and served as Government Pleader in the Kerala High Court in 1996. He married Dr Jaya in February 2014. A Jayashankar is a member of the Communist Party of India (CPI), the oldest communist party in the country.

He gained fame in the entertainment industry with his sarcastic articles published in a Malayalam cultural magazine, Madhyamam Weekly, under the fictitious name K. Rajeshwari. Jayashankar also anchored a Malayalam weekly news analysis show, Varanthyam, aired on the channel Indiavision, based in Kochi, Kerala. Besides this, he appeared on several Malayalam television networks as a political analyst. A Jayashankar also wrote two books: the first on the First Ministry of EMS Namboodiripad, titled Communist Bharanavum Vimochana Samaravum in 2012, and the second on the downfall of Second Ministry of Karunakaran, a short live coalition government, titled Casting Manthrisabha in 2015.
