Sangeetha Katti, whose name after marriage changed to Sangeetha Kulkarni, is a classical singer and composer. Her birthday falls on October 7. She was born to Smt. Bharati Katti and Dr. H. A. Katti in Dharwad, Karnataka, India.

It was the occasion of Saraswati Goddess on the day of her birth. Dharwad is notable for producing several extraordinary artists in music. Besides being fluent in English, Sangeetha can converse in various regional languages like Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, and much more. She is a Chemistry graduate. Sangeetha's very first teacher was her father.

When she turned four, she had a chance meeting with Naushad Ali. Sangeetha sang some songs at his behest and impressed him so much that Ali decided to make Sangeetha his pupil. Sangeetha can sing Bhajans, Abhangs, Hindustani, Bhavgeet, Vachanas, and much more. A child prodigy, she has performed at more than five thousand concerts and has toured countries like New Zealand, United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and much more.

Sangeetha has performed at the prestigious Mysore Dasara (Darbar Hall) festival, Vishwa Kannada Sammelana, Sri Venkateswara Temple, Pittsburgh, and others. Sangeetha has also lent her voice to several film songs. People still remember Sangeetha's songs Kambada Myalina Bombeye and Ee Hasiru Siriyali from the movie Nagamandala.

Most of her works are available in the form of CDs and Cassettes of recording labels like Lahari Rec. Co, Master Rec. Co, Sangeet Sagar, and much more. She is the recipient of many honors like the Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava award. In his autobiography, Sangeet Samrat Naushad Sahab called Sangeetha a Wonder in Music. In 1977, she got the opportunity to meet Mother Teresa and seek her blessings.
