Nagamani Srinath

Smt. G. N.Nagamani Srinath is an Indian Musician, Teacher, Organizer, Composer, and Author. She specializes in Carnatic Music and is known for he melodious music and vocal prowess. Primarily trained by Sri Ramanand Krishnan in Madras, she has learned the art from famous musicians such as Sri K. V. Narayanaswamy, Professor T.N. Krishnan, Sri R. Venkateswaran, Smt Gowry Kuppuswamy, etc. She was born in the remote village of Jodi Gubbi. She is a rare gem among the community musicians and has been at the center stage of the Carnatic Music scene for over three decades. She is a Gold Medalist in M.A (music) from Mysore University and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Music from the Tamil Nadu Government.

Smt. Nagamani Srinath is an esteemed member of the Dasara Cultural Committee and the Karnataka Sangeetha Natya Academy. She is also a Governing Body Member of South Central Zone Cultural Centre and founded the Sunada Cultural Center to encourage new artists. She has been a dedicated teacher, teaching music to upcoming artists by conducting workshops and sponsoring programs in several places, including her Cultural Centre. Because of this, many well- known artists in the music industry are devoted disciples of her.

She has composed more than 200 musical works (in languages like Sanskrit, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil). She has directed Sangeeta Roopakas and Sangeetha Nritya Nataka. She is also the producer and director of a popular Tv serial named Mysore Vaggeyakararu. Throughout her career, she has won many awards like the Telugu Academy Award for Best Musician, the Sangeetha Saraswati, the Karnataka Kalahari from the Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy, and the Karnataka State Award ( Rajyothsava Prashasthi), etc.
