Shwetha is Kannada tele soap actress who has earned her name with her acting talent. This chirpy actress started her venture into the small screens by the serial named Sumathi. Directed by Narayan, this daily soap was aired on Udaya T.V which did 480 whopping episodes. She was indeed lucky to bag the role of Kadambari in the serial Kadamabari of Balaji Telefilms on Udaya T.V where she essays the role of a sacrificing elder sister. She shot to fame with this serial and Shwetha became a household name. After these serials, it was followed by Sukanya on ETV Kannada. She also played a role in the serial Arundhati on ETV Kannada in the year 2010. On doordarshan too, she has appeared in her serial Soundarya.

Apart from acting, this lucky star has compared shows too. The shows where she has anchored include, on Zee Kannada. The theme of this show is to celebrate the spirit of womanhood. Shwetha Chengappa has also hosted aired on Zee Kannada, a dance show for boys and girls.

Shwetha is a Kodava (Coorgi) girl from Somwarpet, Coorg. She has done her Graduation in Commerce from B.H.S College, Bangalore. Serials and Telly Acting took a whole new turn, when this charming lady took her plunge into the movie world. Thangigaagi directed by P.N.Sathya has Darshan starring in it, where Shwetha plays the role of Darshan’s sister in the film.

Acting and anchoring is in her kitty already. She is reigning in both worlds with ease. She also took part in Big Boss Kannada, Season – 2 aired on Asianet Suvarna Channel, hosted by Sudeep, where she emerged in the fourth place. We wonder, what next for Shwetha Chengappa? Only time will tell…
