Raashi Balakrishna was born and brought up in Mangalore, Karnataka and she belonged to a Tulu speaking family. She was born on 10May, 1993 and her real name is Nishmitha B. Although she’s a native Tulu speaker, she can speak Hindi and Telugu as well. She attended St. Theresa's School in Mangalore, and graduated from St Joseph Engineering College in Mangalore with a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. So, apparently, she is an engineer cum actress. She acted as a child actor in the hindi films “Geraftaar” (1985), “

” (1997). Her acted opposite one of the prominent known Bollywood actor,
, in “Jodidar” (1997).
After growing up, Raashi started her career as a model and later went on to make her acting debut in “Are Marler” with Tulu film, in the year 2017. This movie was directed by
. The director also casted her in his next movie “Yera Ullerge” in 2018. Later in 2019, she debuted for her first Kannada television serial “
”. The serial aired on Colors Kannada. Director Sunil Acharaya, gave her a debut in the Kannada movie, “
” in 2019. She also did a Kannada movie with
in 2019, “Nathuram”. Raashi’s marital status is single.
She has always been a very good dancer and is good at doing Bharatnatyam. She has been a fan of bollywood songs and movies since childhood. Raashi’s father, Balakrishna, was also interested in acting in his 20s, but dueto his family issues he quited, but he let his daughter pursue her dream, only after completion of her studies.
