Raashi Balakrishna was born and brought up in Mangalore, Karnataka and she belonged to a Tulu speaking family. She was born on 10May, 1993 and her real name is Nishmitha B. Although she’s a native Tulu speaker, she can speak Hindi and Telugu as well. She attended St. Theresa's School in Mangalore, and graduated from St Joseph Engineering College in Mangalore with a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She has always been a very good dancer and is good at doing Bharatnatyam. She has been a fan of bollywood songs and movies since childhood. Raashi’s father, Balakrishna, was also interested in acting in his 20s, but dueto his family issues he quited, but he let his daughter pursue her dream, only after completion of her studies.
