Aparna Vastarey

Aparna Vastarey is known for her RJ work. She is also associated with movie acting and television presenting. She has made a mark for herself in the Kannada silver screen. During the 1990s she was known for several shows that were telecast in DD Chandana. Masanada Hoovu is the Kannada movie that she debuted in 1984. Aparna’s association with Kannada cinema was short and she worked in the 1980s in the film industry. She participated in Big Boss Kannada 1 during 2013. Majaa Talkies which was a comedy show in 2015 also has her presence. She continued her work in the show by acting in its sequel too.

Her debut film was directed by Puttanna Kanagal Puttanna Kanagal was known as Chitra Brahma (God o >> Read More... and she enacted the supporting role in it. Ondaagi Balu, Inspector Vikram, and Nammoora Raja are some of the other films that she worked.She got herself involved in radio jockeying in 1980. Here she was associated with All India Radio. During 2014, Aparna’s voice was heard in the recorded Kannada announcement for Bangalore Metro. Her flawless diction made Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation to bring her into the project. Aparna has presented almost every inaugural shows of Namma Metro.

Aparna died on 11th July 2024 after her battle with cancer. Aparna is survived by Nagaraj Vastarey, her husband, an architect cum writer.
