Shilpa Ganesh

Shilpa Ganesh is a film producer in Kannada film industry. She is also an active politician of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). Owner of Golden Movies, Shilpa Ganesh is the daughter of Mr. Shiva Ram Shettigar and wife of Mr.Ganesh. She has also won Filmfare award for the best Kannada film.

Shilpa Ganesh has produced two Kannada movies which are Maleyali Jotheyali that released in 2009 and Kool Sakkath Hot Maga in 2011. Maleyali Jotheyali is a romantic drama in which the story revolves around the love story of two girls who fall for the same boy where the boy at first love one girl, but later on starts falling for the other. Ganesh won the award for the best actor, and the film also won at the 57th south Filmfare award in the category of best movie. Kool Sakkath Hot Maga is the second film produced by Shilpa. Directed by Mr. Ganesh himself it is again a romantic drama and second film under their production house Golden Movies. Released in April 2011 it is a tragic love story where the boy dies leading his girlfriend to depression.

The story revolves around the consequences that occur when the girl meets another boy who looks exactly like her dead boyfriend. The picture was a flop. Shilpa Ganesh is a State Vice President of BJP Mahila Morcha in Karnataka. She resides in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar in South Bengaluru.

Since she is an active politician apart from being a film producer she has always been in the news in one way or the other. She has been seen talking about taking steps for women empowerment, speaking against Congress, etc. Married to actor Ganesh in 2008 she is a mother of two children, daughter Charithriya and son Vihaan. The latest release of Golden Movies is Mugulu Nage on 1st September 2017. It is a Ganesh's production in collaboration with Yograj Bhatt.
