Sanath Kumar was a journalist, film critic, documentary movie director, and producer in the Kannada film industry. His hometown was Chitradurga. Sanath began working as a journalist for the Kannada publications Vaara Patrike and Prajavani. Sanath developed an interest in making documentaries and other movies. In addition to directing films, he worked as a radio journalist for SBS Radio in Australia. Sanath became a successful producer in the Kannada film industry after producing Eddelu Manjunatha. He came to the limelight as a documentary movie maker with his popular documentary on Mysore and Mysore Dasara. Sanath Kumar passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Sanath was suffering from Jaundice and Diabetes.
