When Bhat was an engineering student, he watched the first part of Mate Udbhave, which is Udbhave.

When he watched the movie for the first time, he instantly became a fan of the film and Anant Nag's character. Bhat liked the film so much that he has watched it multiple times. When Udbhave's director, unaware of this background, told Bhat that they were working on a sequel of it — Nithyanand said he wanted to be part of that film and came on board as a producer. What drew Nithyanand to this film was about the escapades and cunningness of the younger son of Anant, who, as per the story, was just as clever or more than his father in taking advantage of people. In the first film, it was about Anant, who had two sons in the film.
