Parul Yadav is a popular Kannada actress in both television and film. The model turned actress started her acting career in Bhagyavidhaata, a television series telecasted on Colors. In the year 2011, her acting performance in the Govindaya Namaha, a Kannada film that brought her to the limelight. She played the role of Mumtaz, a Muslim girl falling in love with Govinda played by . For this very performance, she received SIIMA Best Debutant award as well as the Bangalore Times Best Newcomer Award. In addition to this, she was also nominated in the Best Female Actor category for the Udaya Awards. The song "Pyarge Aagbittaite" featuring her went viral on the internet sites and took her towards stardom. The young actress also received the 'Glamour Icon of the Year' award from the Suvarna TV channel.

She was born on 5th June, 1982. The actress began her career as a TV actor in Mumbai and then debuted in a B-grade Hindi movie Meri Aaghosh Mein starring opposite . It was until 2004, Parul ventured into South Indian movies, starring in Dreams (Tamil film) that had a star cast including Dhanush as well as Diya.
