Santhosh Shetty Kateel was an Indian Film Director and an actor, too. Santhosh had a degree in animation. Soon after his degree, he started to work in the television industry, but soon, he made his way into filmmaking.
Santosh won an award for his movie for Children, titled Kanasu – Kannu Teredaga. Unfortunately, when Santosh was 36, he accidentally drowned in Mangalore's Ermai Falls during film recce.
Reports say that he went there for a photo shoot for his then-upcoming movie, Kannada movie. He was accompanied by his four teammates during the photo shoot.
The last movie, directed by Santosh Setty was Gandada Kudi, and the last movie that he acted in was Nandanavanadol.
