Thanuja Puttaswamy is an Indian film and television actress known for her works in Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil languages. Thanuja Puttaswamy, aka Thanuja Gowda, was born to Puttaswamy and Savithri on 5th March 1997 in Bangalore. Thanuja is the second child among three daughters. Her elder sister Anuja is an advocate, and her younger sister Pooja is an engineer. Thanuja completed her schooling in Bangalore and went to Bangalore University for her higher studies. Thanuja Puttaswamy started her career as an actress in 2013 with the Kannada horror film 6-5=2. The film revolves around six individuals who go for a trek in the Western Ghats and the mysterious incidents during their stay there. ThanujaPuttaswamy played the role of Deepa in the movie.

The film opened to a positive review and got critically acclaimed for its plot. 6-5=2 got dubbed and released in Telugu as Chitram Kadu Nizam and also remade in Hindi. In 2014, Thanuja Puttaswamy took up the role of the female lead in the Kannada movie Dhande boys. Thanuja Puttaswamy stepped into the small screen with the Zee Telugu’s daily soap Andala Rakshasi. For her portrayal as Parvati, Thanuja Puttaswamy won Favourite heroine, Evergreen couple, and Zee Telugu Tharachandrulu in Zee Kutumbam Awards in 2018 and 2019. Siva Manasula Sakthi is the official remake of the Hindi show Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji. Thanuja acted in the title role Sakthi opposite to actor Vikram Shri, who played the character Siva. The shows revolve around Siva and Shakthi and their love-hate relationship. The show ended in March 2020. After the completion of Siva Manasula Sakthi, Thanuja Puttaswamy took a break from television.
