Alka Shukla

Alka Shukla is an Indian Producer and Writer born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. So far, she has worked in the Indian entertainment industry for several web series, including “Pret Boys” released in 2023, “ Sadda Haq >> Read More... ,” about a modern-day girl, Sanyukta, who dreams of becoming an engineer, and a crime thriller titled “Murder Meri Jaan.” 

Alka is the Head of Content Development at Rusk Media and has invested 17 years in the vibrant media industry. She is also a creative and seasoned storyteller and content developer. During her journey, she has worked for the most prominent brands like The Walt Disney Company, The Times of India Group, Zee Network, and Bloomberg TV India in various roles and capacities. 

After taking the plunge as a freelance writer & content developer, she has been engaged with the leading production houses, TV and digital platforms, including MTV, Channel V, Disney+Hotstar, National Geographic Channel, History-TV18, and Zee TV, to develop fiction and non-fiction content.

In her early days, Alka was a journalist who later became a screenwriter. She was a part of the launch team of UTV Stars, where her key responsibilities included planning, writing, and executing daily and weekly Bollywood shows along with a group of associates. Additionally, she generated pitch ideas with the marketing and sales team for content-driven brand integrations regularly. She also worked as a Senior Correspondent with Mumbai, and Mirror Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. Her work has been recognized. In 2021, Alka was nominated for Filmfare OTT Awards in the Best Dialogue Category.
