Palash Vasvani is an Indian Writer and Film Director prominent in the Hindi film industry. Palash graduated with an engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from Manipal Institute of Technology. He worked as a creative copywriter for Lowe Lintas before leaving his job to pursue a master’s degree. He then, cracked the IIT entrance test, and pursued Master’s in Animation and Film design from IIT Bombay. He went on to make documentary short films on arts and crafts in India. He wrote, shot, directed and edited his movies on his own. Palash’s father is both a product designer and a photographer by profession. Palash’s love for movies came from his maternal grandmother, who used to be a movie buff.
He began his directional journey in 2013 and directed his first film named “Shuruaat ka interval” for which he was both the writer and the director. He also directed short films “Bloody khuli khidki” and “Interval 3D”. He went on to direct the TV series Girlyapa, Zeroes, Awkward Conversations with Parents and the popular TV series Gullak Season 2 and Season 3. He also worked as an assistant director for the TV series “Permanent Roommates”. He wrote and directed the series “Cheesecake”, which was India’s first pet show.
