Ajay Monga was born in 1968. He is an Indian screenwriter and film director. Monga completed his education at St. Anne`s High School in Orlem Malad. He graduated from Jai Hind College Church Gate. He later completed her Direction of Advertising and Marketing at the Xavier Institute of Communications in Mumbai.

In both school and university, Monga associated with various societies and cultural groups. Monga began his career as a copywriter at the advertising agency ADVIEWS. He became the company's head of business development and later created his marketing and management consultancy. He later went on to television as a writer, producer, and director. Monga also conceived and designed a non-academic platform for children called "Chhoton Ka Funda". Monga started his journey on television through Ad Mad Show, was a comedy show that aired on Zee TV (list of shows broadcast by Zee TV) in 1996.

The show found wide acceptance among college students who began experimenting with the madman. concept of mad games in schools and universities.
