Ashok Lokhande was born on July 13, 1950. He completed his education in the National School of Drama in New Delhi, India. He is an active actor since 1990, when he played the role of Ashwadhyaksha Purushdutt in the TV series Chanakya. His next acting engagement was in 1991 in the serial Mriganayani. He was professionally engaged in two films, Khamoshi: The Musical from 1996 and Sarfarosh from 1999.
