Anushka plays the role of Rekha C. Desai,the eldest daughter in law of the Desai Family, on the show. She is portrayed as a strange and indecisive character, who always gets confused through ratherpeculiar reasons. The show is a comedy and drama and has been directed in Juhu, Mumbai. She also made an appearance in Crime Patrol, which is supported by Sony Entertainment Television channel. The episode was based on an incident of child abuse. She plays the role of a Police Officer who investigates the case in the entire episode.

After this, she disappeared from the television industry for a long time. It was almost a dream come true for her when she was offered a role for an episode for Savdhan India. The true story, in which she played the lead role, featured a girl who was married to a Non-Resident Indian. The episode telecasts the torture a husband inflicts on his wife and her miscarriage that results because of it. The story changes its course when in another phase her husband tries to beat his child and in defense his child kills her husband.

Anushka also appears in a movie “My client’s wife,” which focuses on a lawyer Manas Verma responsible for defending his client Raghuram Singh, who has been accused of assaulting his wife. Raghuram believes that he was framed, and Manas decides to investigate this case further to reveal shocking truths. Anushka plays the role of Sindoora Raghuram Singh in this movie. It was released on 31 July 2020 and is directed by Prabhakar Meena Bhaskar Pant.
