A versatile artist, Satish Gupta is the celebrated Indian painter, sculptor, poet, writer, graphic artist, draftsman, wall painter, designer, calligrapher, and potter rolled into one. Wings of Eternity was a multimedia event that featured an aerial dance performance by the renowned dancer Isha Sherwani and live gestural calligraphy by the artist on stage, which was presented at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai. He also did an art residency at St. Moritz, sponsored by the Reine Victoria Hotel, Basu Foundation for the Arts, and OFC, which inspired him to paint glaciers and waterfalls. Satish created works that were inspired by a visit to Mongolia. While visiting the Normandy beach in France, he painted "Roaring Sea-Still Mind" while attending a peace conference at the Tapovan Ashram. There he also exhibited his Zen scrolls. His book "Zen Whispers" was published at the 2018 Jaipur Literature Festival. He has participated in numerous international poetry conferences. Her writings have been published in English, Spanish, and Catalan. In early 2017 he painted live at the National Ethnographic Museum in Ljubljana along with a demonstration of her calligraphic scrolls. Satish was invited to be the only Indian artist to create a lithograph as part of the official Olympic portfolio along with some other international artists Sandro Chia, Janice Kounellis, and Mimmo Paladino. In 2016, a film about his work was screened at the Estampa art fair in Madrid and the Asiatica Film Mediale in Rome. Known for his special meditative quality, Satish Gupta's art is created in his Zazen studio on the outskirts of Delhi, surrounded by a self-designed Zen garden.
