Sardar Anjum was an Indian writer, poet, shayar, and philosopher born in 1941 and passed away on July 10, 2015, in Panchkula, Haryana. He knows three languages: Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi. In addition to his 25 published books, there are various audio cassettes and albums of Sardar Anjum's poetry. He was the Head of the Urdu Department at Panjab University and the Chancellor's nominee at Punjabi University Patiala. Sardar received numerous honors, including the Padma Bhushan Award (2005), the Padma Shri Award (1991), the Millennium Peace Award (2000), the Punjab Ratan Literary Award (2001), and the Ambassador of Peace Award (2002).
