Brodha V

Brodha V is the stage name of Vighnesh Shivanand. He is an Indian rapper, who started his career in 2007. He is also a part of the popular hip-hop group ‘Machas with Attitude’. He is attributed as one of the fastest Indian rappers and compared to the likes of sensations in the Rapping world like Eminem. He has a unique style of rapping in which he combines Indian classical music and hard-hitting rap together. The reason for Brodha V’s popularity can be fundamentally attributed to his group aka the hip hop trio – 'Machas With Attitude' also known as "MWA". The group consisted of members from Indian cities of Chennai and Bangalore. It was fashioned on 14th June ,2008. The three members were going solo, when they met in an online battling community and finally decided to form a musical group.

The members of the trio were Brodha V, BiggNikk and Smokey. The name of the trio was inspired by an American group N.W.A. MWA’s songs were very linguistic mainly featuring English songs with a twist of Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The group has given music for multiple films in Telugu and Tamil Cinema. Brodha V is not only a rapper, but also a programmer, composer, producer and sound engineer. He completed his education in Bangalore from Bishop Cotton Boys School. He also has a degree in Recording Arts and Digital Film Making from SAE. He is also called the King of Rap in South India.
