Rimi Basu Sinha

Rimi Basu Sinha is an Indian music composer. She was born in Allahabad (Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, India. She is a trained music composer as well as a singer. She is active in the industry since 1986. She started singing and practicing at the age of six. She did her post-graduation from Allahabad University under the supervision of Pt. RamashryaJhajee and Smt. Kamla Bose in Hindustani Classical music.

After completing the masters, she pursued the SangeetPrabhakar in Light Music from PrayagSangeetSamiti Allahabad. PrayagSangeetSamiti is an institute, which provides Education for Hindustani Classical Music. It provides diplomats and Certificates. The Samiti founded in the year 1926. The main motto of this Samiti is providing the platform for instrumental Music Streams. It started giving degrees from the year 2007.

She is mainly singing the songs in various genres like; Sufi, Bollywood, Folk, Indian Classical, Indie Pop, Fusion, and Semi Classical. She also used to take part in different cultural programs in the early days of her life. She brought up in Bengali Family. She has an interest in music and rhythms, and theater. She became the All India Radio artiste at the age of fifteen and took part in several concerts, and shows.

She is also the top grade artist for the National Channel Doordarshan. By her talent, her parents did very well and initiated to take her art to next level. She then started to sing with Shri B. N. Biswas. Rimi’sparents hasencouraged her to take part in Hindustani music competitions, and all other activities related to music. Her partner name is ShriRamkrishnaSinha. He also gives his full support along with his family to pursue the career in music. She did very well with the music and gave her performances worldwide. By her continuous progress, she was able to do the launch of four albums.

The first album among those is MaiyyaKaDarbaar. The music of this album produces by Times Music. Times Music is a company under the Times Group, India.
