and come from a family with a commendable music background. Their father is the gifted music director , who is associated with another music director Nadeem. This duo is called as Nadeem-Shravan. Nadeem-Shravan have given beautiful melodies which are remembered till now. and , who are also famous in the music industry, are the uncles of this duo, from the paternal side.

Sanjay imbibed classical music from Pandit Kallika Prasad. Pandit Chhaturbuj, the grandfather of Sanjeev and Darshan, was a good vocalist. Darshan learnt music by himself.

A Gujarati album was given music by this duo during 1998. , a reputed director, who had helmed direction for flicks like Dil and Beta, heard their music and was attracted. This duo had worked on 40 tunes of Indra Kumar’s flicks.

Sanjeev-Darshan worked for the directors Mahendra Shah and Vimal Kumar initially, but the film never hit the screens. Hence the debut soundtrack of Sanjeev-Darshan is the 1999 flick Mann starring and . Though the film fared poorly, the music was a great hit, and helped the flick to come out of a huge loss.

This duo is known for their melodies. Rishte, Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Aashiq, Khiladi 420, Talaash, Kitne Door Kitne Paas are some of the flicks for which they composed music. This duo had their hands full upto mid 2000, but they disappeared suddenly from the lime light in spite of giving superb melodies and working with top notch singers. It is only recently they returned with the film Satya 2.

and are the films which have the title track composed by this duo. NH10, which features also has music composed by them and the song Chhil Gai Naina is a great hit. The audience is only raving to hear music from this talented duo.
