Vinod Rathod, is a man who is god gifted, and has churned out with his melodious voice for a long period of time.
He is the son of Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod, the music composer, the classical singer in Drupad. Vinod, as a child took interest in various genres of music, his father had recognized the rare quality of his son Rathod and did needful steps to establish him in this line.
Rathod has started his musical journey as a table player and very soon he became famous and demanding tablist to assists almost all the Ghazal singers in the 80s. His first playback song was ‘Main Tere Aashiq Hoon’ released in the year 1989, was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal, for the movie ‘Gumraah’.
He got a major breakthrough in his career, when the song released ‘Sandese Aate Hai’ from the movie Border. It was such a hit song that no one could stop it from soaring to the zenith, as if it had become a national anthem because this song was heard at every party in every nook and corner of the country. He received an unimaginable popularity which gave him energy to pursue his passion for music tirelessly. He is credited for the ability to sing the songs in multiple languages and for that he owed the reputation as a talented artist.
