Krsna Solo is an Indian music composer, songwriter, singer and producer. He was born as Amitav Sarkar on May 15 in Siliguri, West Bengal. Post his schooling in Kolkata; he completed Films Communication at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. He chooses filmmaking because he believes that it can lead him into music. He got inclined to music when he was 12 or 13-years old. He used to join several music competitions. Later on, he shifted to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming a musician and began his career as an advertising film director and did audiovisuals. Few years after, he became a musician. Krsna had formal training in Indian and Western classical music and was trained under the guidance of Ustad Mehmood Khan.

His mentor, Jawahar Chavda had helped him in polishing his talent and guided him all the way to his success. Also in 2015, Krsna teamed up with Tanishk-Vayu in the blockbuster rom-com film, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, a sequel of Tanu Weds Manu.
