Koena Mitra is an Indian model, actress and the winner of Miss Gladrags Model in the year 2001. Born in the city Kolkata in West Bengal to a Bengali family, Koena holds a major in psychology. She is also trained in swimming, tennis and basketball.

Koena started her modeling stint when she was in her schooldays. Later she also came onto be included in top 12 semifinalists of Ms. Intercontinental Pageant. Koena has done many popular commercials like Miranda, Maruti Alto, and Clinic All Clear. She started her Bollywood career with a special appearance in the movie, ‘ Road’ in the year 2010.

Later she appeared in many commercial movies, Apna Sapna Money Money, and The Unbeatable in the year 2009, and in Musafir, which came out in the year 2004, and also in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. Mitra did the greatest mistake of her life by going under the knife.

This ruined her career as her nose job had gone wrong. Koena confessed that she had been in a relationship several times, but lamented that most men, who were initially attracted to her personality had a problem with it later. In the year 2009, Koena faced an embarrassing situation at the hands of the airport security officials in Bangalore.

She said that the security personnel had bullied her. In an official interview given to a popular magazine, Koena revealed that she isn’t the only one to go under the knife. She said that she wouldn’t blame anyone as it was her personal choice. In October 2015, Koena Mitra filed an FIR against her maid alleging that a sum of 1 lakh had gone missing from her Oshiwara Apartment in Mumbai. In February 2014, Koena was seen at the launch of a fashion store in Mumbai and was looking visibly attractive and better. Some news report also made a buzz that Koena was going to make her comeback in Bollywood.

Konkona Sen Sharma is a Bollywood actress hailing from Kolkata, West Bengal. She was born on 3 December 1979 in a Bengali family. She completed her schooling at the Calcutta International School and later moved to Delhi for a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Delhi University’s most prestigious college- St. Stephen’s. Cinema has already been existent in her genetic roots. Her mother, Aparna Sen, is a noted actress and director in Bengali cinema. Moreover, she is the granddaughter of Chidananda Dasgupta, a film critic who also established the Calcutta Film Society.
