Hindi Movie Actress Karishma Bhandari

Karishma Bhandari is an actress and assistant director, popularly known for Club Dancer (2016), The Conversations (2016), and Aashiqui: True Love (2015). Though born and raised in London, Karishma’s parents were originally from Punjab, India and she grew up speaking the Punjabi language. She started acting at the age of 11 and attended a stage school where she learned acting and various dance styles. At first, she was very shy and lacked confidence but was determined to improve and not let her shyness come into her way so she started working even harder. Later, she went onto doing performing arts as the HNC Diploma which she completed with an A distinction. At the age of 17, she went to L.A. and trained under Stella Adler Academy, Amy Lyndon, Howard Fine, Paul Weber, and casting director Chadwick Struck.

At this time, she had a chance to be represented but since she was still young her parents wanted her to complete her studies first. Along with her studies, she joined a dancing and acting academy and later started taking lessons for different age groups. At the age of 18, Bhandari went to Mumbai to shoot for a movie. The shoot continued for 3 months after which she returned to London. This was 2012 when Bhandari made her first mark in Bollywood. She got a starring role in Director Aneil Karia’s film ‘Southbank Centre Goes Bollywood.’ She played the role of Sita in the movie which worked as a catalyst to her success. Director Aneil Karia says, “Karishma’s passion is one thing that makes her stand out from the crowd, as well as her striking look and her warmth. It was a challenging, nuanced role in the film and she delivered a wonderful performance.”

After this, she worked with many big production companies such as Disney, FOX, SKY1, and BBC. In the year 2015, she was invited to another feature film audition for a Bengali movie “The Aashiqui : True Love.” Bhandari didn’t knew the language, but she worked on it and learned the language and played her role in the most unblemished way. In 2016, her reputation had grown, and she was invited to work in her next hit ‘The Conversations.’ In the same year, she played the role of ‘ Geeta Geetha is an Indian Kannada television serial that >> Read More... ’ in Director B Prasad’s film ‘Club Dancer.’ In the film, her remarkable performance in a bollywood dance routine stole everyone’s heart. In the year 2017-18, she was seen in a comedy youtube series, " The Cornershop Show" which hit upto 3 million views. She is a very talented and hardworking actress and undoubtedly, we are looking forward to see more of her in future.
