Riteish Deshmukh is the son of a politician, late Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was chief minister of Maharashtra for some terms as a Congress, party member. Riteish was born in Mumbai on December 17, 1978, to

Riteish has two brothers, Amit and Dheeraj Deshmukh. As his father and mother used to grace many Filmfare award ceremonies, it was quite natural for this actor to fall in love with cinema at a young age. Though he hails from a political family, Riteish made his name as a popular hero in Bollywood and went on to become acclaimed star by his dedication and hard work.
Riteish, who made his debut with newcomer Genelia D'souza in 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' in 2003 and married her, ultimately in 2012. The actor opened his innings as a successful artist through his next film ‘Masti’ in 2004, and he was cast with Genelia D'souza again.
