Nasrullah Qureshi is a well-known Pakistani-Norwegian actor-turned-producer and director living in Oslo, Norway. He was born on 26 November 1961, in Pakistan. On 10 October 1976, the Qureshi family shifted to Norway from Pakistan when Nasrullah was only 15 years old, and since then he was brought up in Norway. He studied in Skedsmo High School in Lillestrøm, Norway. He is married to Pritpal Qureshi who was born Indian. Nasrullah is the organizer of the famous Bollywood Festival, a Bollywood music and film festival held in Oslo since 2003.
Nasrullah started his acting career in 1989 as a supporting actor, playing the role of Ahram, in the Norwegian movie, Karachi (1989) directed by Oddvar Einarson. In 1996, he debuted in the TV series, Familiesaggaen De syv søstre (English: Family Saga- the Seven Sisters), where he played the character of Khalid Shah and then he played the role of Saleem Akhtar in Fox Grønland (English: Fox Greenland) in 2003.

Baadshah was the first Bollywood film shot in Norway. Since the 1990s, he has worked in many Norwegian as well as multi-lingual movies like Dharkan- Hjertebank (English: Dharkan- Palpitations) in 1995, Olsenbanden’s Siste Stikk (English: Olsenbanden’s Last Hitch) in 1999, Capo Nord (English: Cape North), which was an Italian film in 2003, Elsk Meg I Morgen (English: Love Me Tomorrow) in 2005, Import Eksport (2005), Izzat (2005), Haram (2014) and Dunno Y 2… Life Is A Moment (2015). In the meantime, he produced several Pakistani movies like Qusoor (1995), Jaan Jaan Pakistan (1997), etc.

Qureshi’s biggest venture is his world-famous event, the Bollywood Festival, Norway. It is an annual, week-long Festival held during September in Lørenskog Hus, Oslo. Its primary objective is to promote cultural exchange between Norway and India and strengthen the diverse endeavours of the Indian diaspora.
