Nakul Vaid is a film actor from India. He started his journey in acting with a small role in the Bollywood drama film, Baghban and bagged the role of Rahul. In year 2002, he also acted in films like Samvedna and Vadh. He later appeared in the Hindi crime film, Ab Tak Chhappan under the direction of

Chak De! India
’ under the direction of Shimit Amin again. The film made it to the box office and he played the role of Rakesh.
In 2008, Nakul was part of the Bollywood comedy film, ‘Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa?’ which was produced by
Surendra Bhatia
. But this film received negative responses upon the release. In 2009, he played his first main lead role as Mohandas in the Hindi drama film, Mohandas which is based on the story of
Uday Prakash
. His character portrays the life of a poor villager who studies well in spite of his economic issues. Subsequently, Nakul became part of the films Happi and
The Lunchbox
from which he played as Rajeev, opposite with Nimrat Kaur.
In 2012, he was roped in to do a role in the film, Ekhon Nedekha Nodir Xhipare under the production of the National Film Development Corporation of India. The film is in Assamese and Hindi languages which stars

Bidita Bag
. Nakul played as Jyotiraj, the brother of Bidita’s character. He was also seen in the Indo-Chinese film, The Desire by R. Sarath. He played a prominent role in this film along with

and more.
Besides doing films, he also acted in Sony TV’s youth drama show, Challenge and in the crime series, Rihaee from the same channel. Prior to this, he was also seen in the 1998 series, Sukanya.
Nakul also worked as an Assistant Director while he was in class 12 in the film, Raja. But he said he only did it so he can familiarize himself to the film industry functions. Nakul loves to play football and cricket so he always wanted to do a sports film. He also likes to perform as a young dude who will romance Bollywood actresses.
