Preeti Jhangiani

This actress and model hails from Mangalore, Karnataka. The multilingual actress is fluent in Sindhi, Hindi, Kannada and English. Preeti Jhangiani's acting career started with the music album, Yeh Hai Prem, produced by Rajshri Productions. She starred in the same opposite Abbas. She went on to bag the famous Nirma Sandal Soap advertisement. She is an avid traveler, and her favourite destination is London. She currently resides in Bandra, Mumbai, with her family. It is rumoured that the reason that she wasn’t as successful as she could have been, was because of her ill-timed health issue. Just as Preeti started getting popular and got meaty offers, she fell seriously ill. Her issue had to be treated immediately before any of the filmings could commence. The treatment that she underwent had an adverse impact on her looks and figure. The talented girl soon lost her offers. She did manage to recover and try to get back on track. That said, her career was never the same.

Preeti was born into a Sindhi family in Mumbai to Gobind Jhangiani and Manika Jhangiani. Her first debut was in a music album by Rajshri Productions, ‘Yeh Hai Prem’, paired with Abbas. This album got her fame due to her talent. She then appeared in Nirma Sandal Soap Advertisements. Her first movie was, ‘Mazhavillu’, a Malayalam movie. Her very first Bollywood debut was ‘Mohabbatein’, in 2000. This made her earn the attention of the audience and was a box office hit. The next movie was, ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’, a complete entertainment with various comedic scenes. She even acted in Punjabi films, which were a hit at that time, like ‘Sajna Ve Sajna’.
