In 2014, Adhyayan’s father has put all his savings to re-launch him in the Bollywood medical thriller film Heartless. Shekhar Suman made his directorial debut through this film but it turned out to be a box-office disaster. In this film, Adhyayan relives the life-story of his real-life brother Aayush who died due to a congenital heart disease in the year 1994.
