CAST & CREW
‘ Ishq Click’ – film based on the life of a supermodel in the dream city Mumbai. She brawls very tough to become a top model. Meanwhile, she meets a photographer who proved to be a blessing for her as he provides help in her struggle.
Plot: Aditya Vardhan (played by Adhyayan Suman ) is an aspiring photographer. He goes on a trip to Darjeeling where he bumps into Sophia. He asks her to come down to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling as he sees potential in her. Mumbai makes her life distinct. She becomes a rising star in the glamorous world. Moreover, she falls in love with Aditya. She feels strongly attracted to him. She dreams to marry him and desires a blissful life with him. But Aditya is an opportunist; he wants to be an unbeaten achiever. He only wishes to win, either by hook or by crook.
For him, marriage is just a passport to a superior life. So he leaves Sophia to marry another girl. She is agitated because of her ruined dreams. Does destiny unite them again?
Analysis: First of all, we need to find out whether it is a love story, a revenge drama or a sob fest? The most appropriate word for this film is – ‘misshaped!’ The story starts as a romantic movie but as the climax arrives; it is too complicated to perceive the story and its characters. Director Anil Ballani tried to present an elegant concept, but he loosens the grip on the film. The second half is unreasonably extended in the movie. Music is average and end of the day, this film fails to create interest or provide entertainment.
Star Performances: Adhyayan fails in playing his role of an opportunist and arrogant man. His expressions are dull and boring in the film. As far we talk about Sara Loren, she lacked that innocence of her character which was an essential demand of the story. The chemistry between the leads is not intense. Thus, one never feels invested in their story. Moreover, supporting actors did nothing in the film.
What’s There? In one word – ‘Nothing!’ But those who love to watch ‘time pass – cinema’, will find short – amusing songs and hot scenes involved in the film.
What’s Not There? Story! Neither emotional nor impactful, the story is indeed a dustbin material. Lead pair has not any chemistry at all. Moreover, sweet and enjoyable music is also missing from this so-called romantic film. Only hot scenes are not enough to generate romance in the movie. A film needs adoring points and heart – touching dialogs to gain a romantic ‘genre’.
Verdict: It is not a good choice to watch this futile movie. Although, feel free to waste your time if you are keen to view a - ‘film without story.’
