Vikramaditya Motwane is a film producer, writer, and director. He was born on 6th December 1976. He married Ishika Mohan, the photographer. He started his career as an assistant to the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali; he worked with him for the films ‘ Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ (1999) and ‘ Devdas’ (2002). He was the choreographer for the songs of the film ‘ Paanch’ (2003). He made his directional debut with the film ‘ Udaan’ (2010) under Anurag Kashyap Films; the film was acclaimed on all platforms, among the seven awards it received in Filmfare awards included ‘Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie’; it was also selected at 2010 Cannes Film Festival in the ‘Un Certain Regard’ to compete.. He also bagged the Best Director Award at Star Screen Awards. His second directional film was ‘ Lootera’ (2013).

Vikramaditya is among one of the four owners of Phantom Films along with Anurag Kashyap, Madhu Mantena, and Vikas Bahl. He has written the screenplay of films like ‘ Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’ (2007) and ‘Dec D’ (2009).
