Dharmesh Darshan is a prominent Indian writer, producer, and director, who predominantly worked in the Bollywood film industry. He was born on May 16, 1972, in Mumbai, Maharashtra in India to film producer, Darshan Sabharwal and Sheela Bhatt (the sister of Mahesh and
). He penned and directed his first film entitled Lootere in 1993. During that time, he was one of the youngest film directors and the film turned out to be a box office nationwide. His next film is the Hindi drama romance film,

in the lead roles. This film became the biggest hit of the year and one of the blockbuster films during the 90s. He earned the Best Movie Award at the Filmfare; Best Film Award and the Best Director Award at the Star Screen Awards for his brilliant work in this film. After his mother had died, he took a hiatus for four years and returned in the year 2000 through the Bollywood action masala film, Mela and the Bollywood romantic drama film, Dhadkan, which stars , Sunil Shetty and
