Mukesh Bhatt is an Indian film producer who was born on June 5, 1952, to Nanabhai Bhatt and Shirin Mohammad Ali. He is a younger brother of renowned filmmaker and screenwriter Mahesh Bhatt. Nanabhai’s brother was Balwant Dutt, who was also a movie director. The duo brother had made some successful movies such as ‘Aaashiqui’, ‘Jurm’,’ Sadak’, and ‘Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin’. The duo had tried to launch a career of Pooja Bhatt, who is Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter ( Sadak and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin) along with Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Films like Aashiqui and Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin had given a facelift to the career of playback Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal and even music composer Nadeem Shravan. He is married to Nilima Bhatt, and they have a son called Vishesh and a daughter called Sakshi. The family has also launched a film production company Vishesh Films after their son Vishesh. Vishesh Bhatt has also turned himself as a director with Murder-3.

Emraan Hashmi, the Bollywood actor, is his cousin and Mukesh Bhatt has introduced this actor in silver screen with Footpath’. Later Emraan acted in almost every film produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt was a failure in his first film project Jurm in 1990. Later he joined hands with T series founder Gulshan Kumar to produce his film ‘Aashiqui’ which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film had the unknown stars like Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal, yet the film’s music helped the film to become a chartbuster. Mukesh Bhatt also is very popular with horror film ' Raaz' (2002), its sequel ‘Raaz – The Mystery Continues’ (2009),'Raaz 3'(2012) and its fourth sequel, ‘Raaz: The Hidden Secret, which is currently in pre-production. Harmesh Malhotra is a producer, screenplay writer and director in Bollywood. He started his career as the assistant director in Dev Anand – Madhubala film Sharabi in the year 1964. He later made and even directed some semi-hits with many notable actors like Dharmendra, Ashok Kumar, Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, Sridevi, Nanda and Sanjay Khan. Most of the film was the moderate success at the box-office. Although he had a series of a film getting released year after year, the director did not face any oblivion at all and remained in the limelight. The turning point in his career came with Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi starrer ‘Nagina’(1986) which broke many records at the box office and even it scored Sridevi’s career as the film was based on her character. The film was a best snake fantasy film, and it was also Sridevi’s second women-centric role after the success of Tohfa. The film ‘Nagina’ featured Sridevi’s most iconic dance numbers which still gives fans goose bump. Later, he tried a sequel to Nagina with Sunny Deol and Sridevi again, but it flopped. He again cast Sridevi in ‘Sherni’ which was a dacoit film and was an average success at the box office. This director was born on June 14, 1936, in Pakistan. He migrated to Agra after partition. After his graduation, he moved to Bombay to make a successful career in films. Some of his good films that he directed include ‘Amir Garibi’ (1980), ‘Kismat’ (1995),’ Phaansi’(1978),’Dulhe Raja’ (1998),’Raaz’(1981). He also was successful in launching Govinda’s few films that were usually comedy and family drama. He made a series of films with Govinda and was partially successful in his career. He is a total commercial filmmaker who uses films were being appreciated for their content more and less to do with the usual glamour. Though sometimes it failed to impress commercially the audiences but still emerged strongly in the box-office despite dealing with an offbeat content in the cinema hall.

Born on 7th July 1963, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is a screenwriter and filmmaker. Rang De Basanti and Baag Mika Baag are two of his acclaimed films. He has penned the script as well as directed the films Aks and Delhi 6. The issues surrounding the Mandal Commission of VP Singh inspired Mehra to direct Rang De Basanti. Mehra never hesitates to voice his opinion on current issues, no matter they are done through films or in real life. He in fact condemned the Education system of India to give priority to scores. He also cited Shakespeare and Rabindranath Tagore in this regard. He told that Shakespeare would not have been a great writer if he was recognized only by his scores. He applied the same logic to Rabindranath Tagore. Mehra is also fascinated towards culinary.  Mehra kick started his career as a marketing person for Eureka Forbes. Then he went on to work as a filmmaker in advertisements. He has worked in many television advertisements not only for Indian clients, but also for international ones. And he had a brief stint with music videos. Later Mehra donned the role of a filmmaker after trying his luck as ad filmmaker. Flicks Motion Picture Company Private Limited is the name of his company and the film Aks was produced under this banner. This film, though didn’t set the cash registers ringing, it was widely appreciated for the roles of Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpai. Rang De Basanti was the turning point in his career and it was highly successful in India as well as overseas. He was bestowed with the Filmfare Best Director Award for this film. This film also represented India at the Oscars. A couple of his films Delhi 6 and Teen They Bhai were not commercially successful. The Baag Milka Baag happened and it was not only a commercial success, but also critically acclaimed.
